We went hiking to nowhere!

We were trying to hike to Donut Falls, but the end of the trail was washed away so we never made it. It was fun anyway! It rained pretty good on the way back to the car so everyone was soaked.

My little puddle jumper, just like her mama!

Puddle jumper

We went for a ride along the Jordan river and this is what we came across. We couldn't go any further since Jason couldn't get through with hailee!

Austin can ride on two wheels!

He did it in one hour! I'm so proud of him! He really does have a helmet we just took these pics so I could share them!

2 years later

Austin turned 8 and was baptized on March 26 2011.

Austin was Luigi for Halloween 2010.

Hailee turned 3 in July 2010 and was Minnie mouse for Halloween 2010.

Christi is now working at The Strand Salon and absolutely loving it!
Jason is still installing windows with his brother and he is busy, busy!
Hopefully now I can update this more than every 2 years!

Austin is growing up :(

Austin lost his first baby tooth today. It was a very dramatic process to get it out. I had hoped this day wouldn't come for a long time but I guess he's growing up too fast. I thought that the top ones were supposed to come out first but Austin lost the bottom one. Luckily Jason can handle that kind of gross stuff. I think its disgusting.

Easter fun?

Easter came and went with not much fun. Jason had been sick for 5 weeks prior and I of course got sick the week before Easter. We have not been much fun to be around. Oh well.
Austin turned 6 in March. He didn't have much of a party but we found some Super Mario figures and decorated his cake with them. That was his favorite part of the whole day. We went to the park for a while and just played. I wish that he had been able to have a bigger party but when your short on funds there's not much you can do!

For better or for worse...

So since my last post quite a bit has changed.  Jason has changed jobs. He is now working for his brother installing windows and other remodeling projects. Since the economy has taken a plunge there has not been a lot of work. Now, hopefully, it is getting better. There are supposed to be quite a few jobs coming in this next week and the company wants all of them done for the end of the month. It kinda sucks for me since I will be home with the kids by myself most of the time, I have to get used to that again.
Christi has moved to a new salon.  The one I was at was not busy at all and I was not seeing any new clients after a year.  I made the move about 2 weeks ago and I am already seeing more than I was before.  I love it. It just opened the first of February, however the owner had a place in sugarhouse for 9 years so she has built up the name already. I love it there and hope to stay for a while!
Austin is doing very well in kindergarten.  He talks too much according to the teacher, but we have talked to him about it.  I can't believe that in just a few months he will be in 1st grade. He has grown up way too fast.  I guess there is no way to stop that though.
Hailee is now walking and getting into trouble. She is 19 months old and the doggie door is her favorite toy.  We can't keep her out of it. Luckily it just goes to the laundry room.  She love to hear her voice, and she tries to talk to us like Austin does.  She communicates what she wants very well, but it usually involves screaming and fits.
Lately we have been very fortunate for the church.  They have helped us numerous times and it's time for us to give back what we can, when we can.
I guess that about sums it up for now! Hopefully the next post doesn't take so long to put on!

Making a 5 year old work is....????

So instead of just buying Austin a new DS, we are making him work for the money. He filled our wood box yesterday and he is supposed to rake leaves at Grandma's. We are giving him a little bit of money every time he does something that he doesn't normally do. Our hope is that making him work for the money will teach him a little more respect for his games. This has been a difficult task, he complains more than he works but he still got the job done!

Kids Are...???

You finish the title! Austin (my wonderful child) likes to play his Nintendo DS while he is in the bathroom. Well I knew it was bound to happen sometime, He dropped the DS in the toilet. Needless to say, It no longer works. So now do I buy him a new one for Christmas or not? Let me know what you think!!!

Happy Halloween!

As you can see, we have Spiderman, A Sweet Princess and an insane hairstylist! It was a blast. Most people thought my blood was real! We went to our wards trunk or treat were they had soup and desert. You can also see my Mandy doll that was part of our decoration. After the trunk or treat we ended up at Uncle Clints for some unknown reason. We then came home and watched The Hulk. Finally at 2 we went to bed. It was a fabulous night!

Into The Woods!

Jason and I went to see Into The Woods on Saturday Nov. 1. It was sooooooooo good. The actors were excellent. Of course they are not as good as the movie (especially Bernedette Peters). The wolf wasn't that great though. I would see it again if I could afford it. If any of you get a chance, you should see it!
